The acting career of Reese Witherspoon began to flourish following her enrollment at Stanford University. The first time she was recognized for her work, it was with roles in films such as Pleasantville and Election however it was her role as Elle Woods in the box office hit Legally Blonde that marked a pivotal moment for her career. An accomplished painter, she has also exhibited in several galleries.
