Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known her real name as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. The name she was given by parents for the town in which they were born. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's father was born into an ethnically Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. The actress has a younger brother Uria and two half-siblings Jubal as well as Sunyata. Ryder made the move along with her family in Mendocino County California at the age of seven. They lived in a place without electric power. Ryder began to be a passionate reading book because there was no TV. Ryder, then 12, took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in the year 1983. The actress landed her first part on the big screen in the year 1986 when she was 15 years young. Ryder was bullied in high school. Ryder hoped her career as an actor would be able to help. Unfortunately, that did not come to pass. She continued to pursue the goals she had set. Her big break occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder performed in a number of roles that were successful for various films. In 1993 she received two nominations at the Academy Awards. One of which was for her character on the film The Age of Innocence.
