April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player American, is among a select set of females who've been awarded medals at multiple Olympics. She will be competing in Tokyo for her 3rd Olympic gold medal along with Alix Klineman who is a first-time Olympian. In addition, Ross hopes to win the first Olympic gold. In fact, at 39 this may be her last opportunity to accomplish this. Nevertheless she is confident that top honors are firmly within reach. If we play our highest or perform well, I think we'll win the gold medal Ross declared on NBC Boston. So I'm going to take some luck too. Ross born in 1982 and lived within Costa Mesa California with her siblings and parents, started participating in athletics at Newport Harbor High School. Ross went on to play in a myriad of activities during her time at Newport Harbor High School. Being a pre-athlete she played indoor volleyball and track. But she clearly was superior to the rest in the latter sport. In her own biography in high school, she played volleyball as an outside hitter (middle blocker) as well as a setter (outside blocker). The results of her efforts were acknowledged in 1999 when she was named Gatorade's National Circle of Champions players of the year. Additionally, in 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the Yr for volleyball. Ross and Klineman began their relationship in 2017 but Ross had been a beach-scene celebrity for a long time prior to. In reality, she was a winner of multiple major tournaments in the past with two different partners. among them a volleyball icon. For six years from 2007 until 2013, she was a team together with Jennifer Kessy who more recently was Klineman's coach. Ross, the teammate of Kessy's, who was the winner of the world championship with Kessy in 2009, was also significant on the international stage. They eventually won a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty May, Kerri Walsh and Kerri Jennings were the team to beat for the gold. Ross Jennings was May-Treanor's replacement as she left the team. In 2016, the pair took bronze at the Rio Olympics for beach volleyball. Ross played for the Trojans of USC throughout her college years before becoming a professional. The Trojans had a great performance for Ross during her time at the university. As a freshmen in 2000 Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 and NCAA the Freshman of the Year award. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans reach into the Final Four. She was devastated by a personal tragedy during her sophomore years, yet she was able to make it an All-American in her second year. During her final two seasons in the Trojans' program the team was led to victory by winning the national title in consecutive years. She had established herself as an all-time legend winning the 2003-2004 Honda Sports Award as the highest ranked female volleyball player. Ross studied the field of international relations in USC. Margie Ross was never able to see her daughter make it to the top in beach volleyball. Ross's mother passed away from cancer of the breast in 2001. Ross had just become an undergraduate student in the second year at USC. Her mother is still dear. Margie continues to be an inspiration both on and off at the beach.
